Frequently Asked Questions
Do you see clients online or in-person?
All of our sessions together will take place online via a 100% private, HIPAA compliant video platform. Whether you are in Texas or California, meeting online gives us the flexibility and freedom to work together from the comfort of our own spaces, and without needing to sit in traffic while commuting to and from an office.
Do you take my insurance?
I am not in-network with any insurance companies. At your request I will offer a receipt of services (called a “superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance for full or partial reimbursement. Be sure to check in with them regarding your out-of-network benefits if you plan to go this route so that you can know what to expect upfront.
How often will we meet?
In the beginning, we will meet weekly in order to establish our relationship and the groundwork for treatment, and then reassess as we go. Sometimes clients will drop down to every other week or once a month — whatever is needed in order to maintain the support that is best for them.
How long will I be in therapy?
A great question, with an answer that will be unique to each person. Sometimes clients will come to therapy wanting to work on one specific area of their lives. If this is the case, somewhere between 3-6 months may be sufficient. Oftentimes I will support clients for a year + as we continue to unpack and shift long-standing relational patterns and process new life challenges as they emerge.
Do you work with couples or children?
I see Adult clients 19+ and do not currently work with couples or children in my practice.
How do I know if this is right for me?
Book your free consultation and ask all the questions you would like! During the call, I will also be asking you some questions about your experiences, and if we feel like we may be a good fit, we’ll go ahead and schedule an Intake Session. Sometimes it takes a few sessions to know, but usually, we’ll be able to tell after the first session or so if we will work well together.
Finding a therapist you can trust and feel comfortable with is SO important to the progression of therapy, so if for any reason we decide we aren’t a good fit -or that someone else may be an even better fit- I’m always happy to connect you with one of my trusted colleagues.
